1. Introduction
Thermoelectric (TE) technology for energy conversion between heat and electricity via Seebeck and Peltier effects provides a viable method for solid state cooling and remote power supply. In view of global environmental and energy problems, TE is becoming an increasing important field for power generation utilizing vast amount of waste heat emitted from various industrial factories, automobiles and homes.
