Jackson native Laurian Lee Scott is a young mother who has endured many difficult trials. On April 30, 2007, she and her husband John lost their two-year old daughter Elenna "Thisbe" to Brown-Vialetto-Van Laere (BVLL) syndrome. The following April, the Scotts lost their son Noah to the same disease. He was just shy of his second birthday.
