The crow. (bird behavior)
The day after a storm, a crow walks along a river bank. It collects bits of junk that the storm tossed onto the bank.
The crow carefully hides its treasure behind some rocks. What do you think it will do with these things?
Crows are the largest of the songbirds. They can be as long as 50 cm (20 in). Crows are almost always completely black.
Crows are found in most parts of the world. Have you ever seen a crow?
The crow finds a dead fish on the river bank. It takes the fish in its strong beak to eat it.
Suddenly it hears a loud "Pr-ruck!" A large raven tries to steal the dead fish. The crow is not strong enough to fight back. It watches helplessly as the raven flies away with the fish in its beak.
The raven does not look very different from the crow. It is actually a type of crow. Ravens are the largest birds in the crow family.
