After years of wanting to look like the rest of her blonde-haired, blue-eyed family, one woman found inspiration in an unlikely celebrity.

I have been blessed with terrific but decidedly mixed genes. My maternal grandmother was Irish, her people having lived in County Longford since before recorded history, and my maternal grandfather's people inhabited a small town in Sicily for approximately as long. On my father's side, I can trace my ancestry to Ashkenazi Jews who came to America from a small town in Lithuaniaand nobody knows where they were living before.
