E.L.F. (which stands for Eyes, Lips, Face) first wooed us with a makeup line full of products that somehow cost only one dollar. Now, the brand has a new so-called professional collection, E.L.F. Studio, offering double-duty cosmetics and makeup brushes designed to help women "become their own makeup artist." But there's nothing professional about the prices: Everything rings in at just three bucks. We asked makeup artist Troy Surratt to try them and pick his favorites.
Under Eye Concealer & Highlighter (1): "Lightweight and transparent, and the peach color really helps diminish blue tones. It's sort of the fast-food version of YSL Touche Aclat."
Eyebrow Lifter & Filler (2): "You can use it to fill in the arch and to highlight under the brow bone. Plus, the built-in sharpener makes it almost like a three-in-one product."
Eyeliner & Shadow Stick (3): "The liner goes on smoothly and blends well; the creamy shadow also glides onto the skin easily, and really stays put once it dries."
