Dr Peter Baffoe, a Gynecologist at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital has expressed concern at the spate of rape and defilement cases in the country and said if pragmatic measures were not taken to deal with the problem immediately it would get out of control. Hardly a day passes without scores of defilement cases being reported at the police stations. Those that go unreported could be in the thousands a day.
