Bill Taylor is a young man who loves to see Washington, D.C. He had the opportunity to spend five weeks in the nation's capital to realize his dream. And he was fortunate that one of those five weeks included the week when Barack Obama was sworn in as our new president. He even got a ticket to go down to the Mall for the inauguration.
But APHSA was even more fortunate to have Bill Taylor spend five weeks with us.
Bill is legislative director at the Los Angeles County Department of Human Services. He was on loan to us for five weeks by his boss, Phil Ansell, director of program and policy at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services and their overall boss, Phil Browning, the county human services director. During those critical weeks, when the new administration took over and Congress was boiling with the stimulus package and APHSA was boiling with energy to act as the eyes and ears of our members, Bill was the boy from the West who rode East to help us.
