Chances are you've seen Food Network celebrity chef Guy Fieri and his spiky white hair. You've probably seen his commercials for T.G.I. Friday's or his talk-show appearances. If you're a foodie, then Fieri's tornado rush onto the scenea loud, colorful whirl of never-ending energyis among your TV-viewing pleasures.
What you might not know about Fieri, even though he opens one of his hit shows behind the wheel of a 1967 Camaro Super Sport convertible, is his car passion. His appetite for cars, as for life, is enormous. While the Camaro is a good prop, it's his producer's car. Fieri is a die-hard General Motors fan, but if this Camaro were his, it would be in much better shape . . .
With Fieri, what you see is what you get: frenzy, emotion, magnetism and energy. What you don't see is Guy the car guy or Guy the family-and-friends guy.
During this interview, which confirms Fieri's passion for cars and its connection to food, Fieri's family tests his patience.
Son Ryder is three. He scampers through the house in cartoon-character underpants and an Alabama "Roll Tide T-shirt. Ryder's 12-year-old brother, Hunter, is his target. Hunter tucks behind a door to spring in surprise. Ryder shrieks and nearly loads his Spider Man jockeys.
"Hunter! the guy with the spiky hair hollers. "Get in herenow!
