from BERNAMA, The Malaysian National News Agency KUANTAN, April 30 (Bernama) -- Police have refuted claims that the death of a residents committee member of Bukit Koman, Raub, was caused by cyanide, a chemical used to mine for gold in the area.

Raub district police chief, Supt Wan Mohd Samsuddin Wan Osman, said Chong Sow Pin, 63, had actually died from a heart attack.

He said the victim's body was found by villagers in a sitting position on a chair in a hut in his durian orchard at Km106 Teras Lama, Tranum, near Raub, at about 9pm on Tuesday.
