from BERNAMA, The Malaysian National News Agency SINGAPORE, April 30 (Bernama) -- Singapore today raised its disease outbreak response system alert status for the Mexican swine flu from Yellow to Orange, or from Phase 2 to Phase 3 of its five alert phases.

The Health Ministry said even though there were no human cases of swine flu reported in Singapore as of today, the alert was stepped up as there was a real possibility that such cases might surface in the city-state.

So far, 22 suspected cases have been referred to the Communicable Disease Centre here, and of the cases, 19 had been tested negative for Influenza A, two tested positive for usual circulating …
