Femi Falana, President, West Africa Bar Association, has alleged that INEC chairman, Professor Maurice Iwu usurped the powers of the Ekiti State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mrs Ayoka Adebayo in validating and announcing election results.

This is coming just as the Action Congress candidate in the election, Dr Kayode Fayemi, in a telephone conversation with Vanguard yesterday evening reiterated that he will participate in the re-run election in Oye-Ekiti. He spoke against the backdrop of his party's rejection of the announcement of the re-run by INEC, as indicated by Alhaji Lai Mohammed, National Publicity Secretary in a statement.
