Like the Beatles, "I read the news today. Oh, boy!" It wasn't pretty. The economy continues in turmoil, if not free fall. Fat cat executives walk off with millions in bonuses from their failing companies (courtesy of taxpayers like us), while teachers and education support professionals face pay freezes and layoffs. Union busting is alive and well (page 34), and Big Brother may be watching you in your classroom (page 30). "And though the news was rather sad, Well, I just had to laugh, I saw the photograph."
