When landlord Dean Chapman asked a local decorating firm to paint his pub ready for its grand opening, he said he would leave the colour scheme to them.

But the result was not quite what he had in mind.

Dean, 44, returned to the Harriers pub on Bishport Avenue in Hartcliffe to find his friends at Bristol-based company QDS had painted it pink with yellow spots.

It is not the first time that the QDS team have played this kind of prank on a friend - last August the Post reported that they had done the same to a colleague's home while he was away on holiday.

Dean, who lives on Bishport Close and works for Bishopsworth's Davis Roofing, has just taken on a six-month lease of the pub and ...
