(From Bristol Evening Post)
The Bishop of Bath and Wells will be making a special stop off during a celebratory walk around the diocese - to talk to customers at a Portishead pub.
The Rt Rev Peter Price, right, is doing a 330-mile walk around the perimeter of the diocese from May 4 until July 4 to celebrate its 1100th anniversary.
Peter's Progress, as the journey is called, will echo the ancient tradition of beating the parish boundary with each day's walk of between eight to 12 miles.
He is due in Portishead on May 12 and while in the town is planning to stop off at The Poacher for a special "Grill a Bishop" event.
He will be at the pub, run by landlord Mark Hazelton, from 8pm and will take any questions that people wish to raise.
The event is the brainchild of Portishead vicar, the Rev Des Williamson.
