(From Bristol Evening Post)
Young street dancers from across Bristol are bidding to win a second world title in a row.
Four teams from the Bradley Stoke-based Fahrenheit dance studios have qualified for the world championships this summer.
And the under-14 members of the Escape team hope to win a title in the intermediate category, having been crowned best newcomers for the age group last year.
Dance centre manager Miraille Dehaney said: "We're all very excited about it. They've been practising like mad."
Street dance is a broad term used to describe styles that evolved outside of dance studios in streets, school yards and nightclubs.
Teams from as far away as Canada and Germany will converge on the Winter Gardens in Blackpool in August for the premier competition. Fahrenheit had to perform well in competitions across the country to qualify.
