This famous Gloucestershire event has been brought to our screens by the Beeb every year since 1956.
The new contract will guarantee live red button and broadband coverage on cross-country day, as well as a two-hour programme which combines the best of the cross-country and dressage with previews and the live conclusion of the final show jumping phase.
The deal also means that Badminton's dates are fixed for the next three years: April 30 to May 3, 2010; April 29 to May 2, 2011; and May 4- 7, 2012, which are all bank holiday weekends.
In a departure from tradition, the event will move forward a day, beginning on a Friday, and conclude on a Monday, which reduces the chance of clashing on television with other, as yet undated, sporting fixtures.
