(From Bristol Evening Post)
Many in the property sector are claiming that they are seeing genuine evidence of the long-awaited recovery in the economy.
In Somerset, new estates have sprung up in the traditional seaside resorts, which are enjoying an astonishing new lease of life.
West Coast Properties has seized this moment to run its colours up the mast, announcing an ambitious rebranding of Burnham-based Applegates.
Managing director Martin Crees said: "It's all change - without a great deal actually changing."
Established in 1995, West Coast Properties operates from strategically located offices in the heart of Bristol, Portishead and Weston and bought the well-known Applegates firm two-and-a-half years ago.
Martin said: "We took the decision then to keep the name because of Applegates' highly regarded reputation as a company within the community. People were comfortable with the brand. Most of the staff had been there for many years working in the industry within the local area. But times have moved on and the market has changed."
