Czech Social Democrat leader condemns government on May Day.

Prague, May 1 (CTK) - Jiri Paroubek, leader of the Czech opposition Social Democrats (CSSD), condemned the policies of the Civic Democratic Party (ODS, senior coalition government member) and its reform effort during the May Day celebrations today. Speaking to about 300 followers of the CSSD, Paroubek mainly criticised the tax reform introduced by the center-right government. "This is advantageous for the richest, those earning over 50,000 or 60,000 crowns a month. But they only make up some three to four percent of the population," Paroubek said.
