TOKYO, May 1 Asia Pulse - Fujikura Kasei Co. (TSE:4620) has acquired a chemical substance inspection equipment business from biotechnology start-up EnBioTec Laboratories Co. for around 40 million yen (US$405,280).
The business, which develops and sells inspection equipment for chemical substances used in making pharmaceuticals, generates annual sales of nearly 100 million yen. Of EnBioTec's 20 employees in that business, four researchers are expected to transfer to Fujikura Kasei as part of the deal.
