KARACHI, May 1 Asia Pulse - Despite economic recession, Pakistan is an attractive place to adopt 3G for mobile operators as it would support the economic growth of Pakistan and meet the new needs for data services, said Saad Warriach, Country Director Pakistan and Afghanistan, Nokia Siemens Networks. He was talking to reporters during a training session, says a statement on Wednesday.
Saad further stated that licensing fee and mechanism for 3G should be economical and commercially viable and acceptable for both government and mobile operators. He said that the need for a richer communication service in Pakistan is raising the demand for 3G. "New services now and in the future require higher speed at an affordable cost while operators will have to face a huge increase in bandwidth demand".
