JAKARTA, May 1 Asia pulse - Indonesian vice president M Jusuf Kalla says the global economic crisis has changed the world economy from an "invisible" into a concrete economy.
"Prior to the global economic crisis, the world economy was enlivened much by abstract speculation," Kalla said on Thursday.
Before the world economic crisis there were so many invisible speculations the global economy was popularly called the intangible economy, most of which was only enjoyed by speculators reaping greater profits from the sharp difference between domestic prices and prices in other countries, he said.
As a result of the global economic crisis, Kalla said Indonesia had started to enjoy the benefits following an increase in the export of footwear amidst declining action of speculators.
