Betting on the ITV job
We're already enjoying the circus that surrounds ITV's search for a replacement for Michael Grade, especially Paddy Power's now familiar odds on the runners and riders for the job. While it's hard to make a call on this one, many of the competitors seem perilously close to being put out to pasture or are already grazing there. ITV's chief operating officer, John Cresswell, is the 3/1 favourite, but our attention was drawn to its former commercial director Ian McCulloch at 20/1. Worth a bet, perhaps? Not according to one insider, who reckons Simon Cowell at 250/1 and Ant and Dec at 500/1 have a better chance.
