The Office of Fair Trading's review of the contract rights renewal mechanism that safeguards advertiser deals with ITV is taking longer than expected as the OFT seeks clarity over ITV's claims.
While media industry sources had anticipated that the OFT would reach a decision by early April, the regulator said it expects to make an announcement later in May.
