A Ferris, Texas, homeowner confirmed February 1 that having a firearm can be crucial to protecting your family and property. The February 7 Waxahachie Daily Light reported that one burglar ended up in critical condition in a local hospital, while an accomplice who fled on foot is still on the run.
Ellis County Sheriff Johnny Brown told Dallas area TV4 that two thieves were surprised in the act of stealing property from a home the resident was in the process of vacating. Just before noon the man and his children arrived in front of the residence and spotted some of their property in the suspects' vehicle.
