An often-repeated allegation is that 90 percent of the guns used in crimes in Mexico come from the United States--a shocking statistic employed in the call for greater gun control north of our border with Mexico. However, according to a recent Fox News report, the percentage is much smaller than that.

Why such a disparity in the numbers?
