A TEXTILE COMPANY OWNER ACCUSED OF masterminding the multimillion-peso tax credit scam in the 1990s is asking the Sandiganbayan antigraft court to allow him to continue to stay abroad.

Through his lawyers, businessman Faustino Chingkoe informed the Sandiganbayan 4th Division that he got sick while visiting China and would need another month to recover.

Chingkoe was given a travel authority by the 4th Division, where he is facing a number of graft cases, to go on a monthlong visit to China and Canada from March 25 to April 24.

Because of his condition, Chingkoe asked for a one-month extension of his travel …
