Choosing the right computer for your company involves doing some computations of your own.

While the computer needs of a public relations company are obviously different from those of a widget manufacturer, it shouldn't come as surprise that both need to ponder similar issues before the big buy.

Companies need to figure out what theft end goal is, said Vincent Hamm, president of Aim High! Inc., a Golden, Colo.-based computer consulting agency.
