Agencies LONDON, April 26: Indian billionaire Mr G Mallikarjun Rao may take over English Premier League Club Liverpool for a whopping GBP 450 million, a British newspaper has reported.

Mr Rao, who is worth GBP 4.2 billion and owns the Indian Premier League cricket team Delhi Daredevils, is considering a major investment in Liverpool after its co-owner Tom Hicks has approached him for a sponsorship, 'News of the World' said.

The GMR group (owned by 58-year-old Rao) were invited by Hicks and their representative watched the Arsenal match in the directors' box with Hicks' son Tommy. It was quite clear the representative was a fan, a source was quoted as saying. …
