Abortion for health-related reasons: an urgently needed debate.
The authors belong to the PROGENERO research team at the Universidad Academia de Humanismo Cristiano, which undertook the 2007 study on reinstating abortion in Chile for reasons related to the woman's health. The research was carried out with a contribution from a fund administered by the Corporacion Humanas with financial support from the Ford Foundation. The psychologist Paulina Vidal coordinated the study; sociologist Marcia Tijero and psychologist Gloria Salazar were research partners.
