With the sudden death in February of Colonel (Rtd) Douglas A. Fraser the Canadian and international disarmament and peacebuilding communities have lost a valued friend and dedicated champion. A person of quiet strength and unswerving commitment, Doug was deeply involved in disarmament and war prevention, both as a soldier and in his very active post-retirement work.
