Spending on NHS administration doubles.

We need fewer managers. The managers need to make decisions and justify them. Above all, they need to be individually accountable. If they fail there should be a body to provide censure.

This is a direct and predicted result of the 'marketisation' of the NHS When you have a market system you need more administrators to manage the market: procuring, tendering, monitoring, billing, accounting, legal costs, PR costs and so on, not to mention all the management consultants who have come from the private sector into the DoH to make this market happen.
