Truck full of electric poles for bribing voters seized.

Statesman News Service RAIGANJ, April 22: Members of the CPI-M this afternoon intercepted an electric pole-laden lorry on the road near the Congress office in Hemtabad of North Dinajpur district and claimed that Congress members were violating the Model Code of Conduct by giving the electric poles to villages in Hemtabad in a bid to collect votes.

The CPI-M members filed complaints to both the returning officer of North Dinajpur Mr Ramanuj Chakraborty and the election observer of Raiganj Mr H Sashidhara. On the basis of the complaints, police seized the lorry.
