Why Kumuyi Shunned Calls to Pray For Late Wife.

DETAILS are beginning to emerge on how the wife of the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Church, Mrs. Abiodun Kumuyi, died on Saturday morning during this year's Easter retreat of the church and why Pastor Kumuyi shunned calls to pray to raise her from the dead.

A source close to the church told our reporter yesterday that Mrs. Kumuyi who has been sick since January this year, was actually receiving treatment by the family doctor, whose name was given simply as Dr. Dare of the Light Hospital in Egbeda, also a pastor in the church, when she died.

The Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka, Lagos alumnus had been confined to the family home at the International Bible Training Centre, IBTC, Ayobo, on the outskirts of Lagos and had not been seen at public functions with the husband.
