Accounts board urged to 'resist' SANCHIA TEMKIN Professional Services Editor THE International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) must resist extreme pressure from global accounting bodies in the next two years to change its accounting for fair value, one of the world's leading figures in accounting warned last week. Ian Mackintosh, chairman of the UK Accounting Standards Board, said the IASB faced an extremely tough task in addressing the accounting rules for financial instruments.
