from ANTARA, The Indonesian National News Agency Jakarta, Apr 13 (ANTARA) - The Iranian embassy in Jakarta had dismissed reports that Indonesian police has arrested 40 Iranians for their failure in producing identifications, and for their plan to smuggle into Australia.

Spokesman for the Iranian embassy in Jakarta Ali Pahlevani Rad said in an electronic message to ANTARA in Jakarta Monday that those arrested by the Indonesian police were Iraqis, not Iranians.

He said he has asked for confirmation from the Jakarta metropolitan police that the arrested people were Iraqis.
