NCAA schools are losing ground in gender and racial hiring practices for college sports, according to a recent report from the Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sports at the University of Central Florida.

"The 2008 Racial and Gender Report Card: College Sport" gave college sports a C-plus for hiring in gender and race. "This is the worst report card for college sport in many years," said Richard Lapchick, director of the institute.
