When even the students notice a dearth of women leaders and professors at their school, it's significant.

At Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, the student newspaper Daily Egyptian cited the school for having only one woman among its top 20 administrators and no women among its 12 deans. It also found fewer women than expected as full-time faculty.
