Byline: PHIL BERG
"Men love to bring their wives to my place, Chris Koch says. "They tell them, "You think I'm sick, wait till you see this guy.'
Koch lives in and around four garages on the east coast of Florida. He created his first garage, the "Sins Garage, to hold hundreds of nostalgic signs and other memorabilia. It's a gallery of Norman Rockwellian overstimulation.
The Sins Garage also includes the home's entry atrium and enough antiques to build four 1900-era barbershops. There are barber chairs for adults and some shaped like boats, planes and cars for kids.
A massive Prevost motor coach has its own garage, lined with memorabilia from 1930s bus stations.
Between the Sins Garage and the ocean is a room that's an exact copy of a "50s diner. "I'm not good at throwing things away, admits Koch, a former marketing professor, "and I just love advertising. It took me two decades to collect all this stuff.
Koch also finds and collects special cars with fascinating stories.
