Panoz claimed an encouraging GT2 podium behind the Risi- and AF Corse-run Ferraris at Sebring. At this time next year, it hopes once again to challenge for overall wins in the ALMS.
Series owner Don Panoz confirmed that the road-car company run by son Danny is working on a new LMP1 prototype project. Like its predecessors, winners of eight ALMS races from 1999 to 2002, the new prototype will be front-engined.
