GT2: FERRARI GETS LUCKY.(NEWS)

Ferrari and Risi Competizione were fortunate to regain their Sebring GT2 crown, as two Porsches with the pace to beat the F430 GT driven by Jaime Melo, Pierre Kaffer and Mika Salo were out of the running early. That allowed the best of the Ferraris to cruise to a two-lap win.
Risi would not have had it so easy if the lead Flying Lizard Porsche 911 GT3-RSR had not suffered suspension damage after a clash on lap three and if the solo Farnbacher Loles Racing entry had not broken its differential in hour two. Both front-line RSRs outqualified the Ferrari, and both went significantly quicker than Melo and Co. as they fought back from their early delays.
