Pine Crest's Brandon Knight named Mr. Basketball.

Apr. 9--Pine Crest junior Brandon Knight received yet another award Wednesday as he was named the 2009 Dairy Farmers Mr. Basketball after receiving 13 of the 19 first-place votes. Knight, who averaged 31.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game as he led his team to a 28-4 record and their second consecutive Class 3A state title, has already been named the Gatorade National Boys' Player of the Year.

Knight is a finalist for the Gatorade Male Athlete of the Year award that will be presented in July. Baseball
