If we lived in a sane and sensible world--and I realize that there never has been such (though, despite Brokaw's malapropisms, I think The Greatest Generation forged an admirable replica)--then THE NEW AMERICAN would lead all other U.S. magazines in circulation, in influence, in resonance.
