A NEW era dawned on Dundee City Council yesterday as the local authority's new administration enjoyed its first day in power.
Members of the new SNP administration began their day by holding talks with city council chief executive Alex Stephen and senior officers.
The economy, housing and education were among the issues being discussed.
The local authority now comprises 14 SNP councillors, eight Labour Party members, three Tories, two Liberal Democrats and two Independents.
Lord Provost John Letford has remained in post after he sided with SNP members in his first vote as an Independent councillor on Monday.
