Australia: North coast areas in Australia declared as flooding disaster zones.

Section: General News - Flood-ravaged towns on the Australia's New South Wales (NSW) mid-north coast was declared natural disaster zones on Wednesday.

"The declaration will provide for a range of assistance to people who have suffered property damage, including residents, councils, business owners and primary producers," NSW Emergency Services Minister Steve Whan said in a statement.

Whan has visited flood-affected areas on Wednesday and declared the Coffs Harbour, Nambucca and Bellingen local government areas natural disaster zones.
