Klong Toei shooting suspect surrenders to police.

A Legal Professional security guard accused of shooting dead two people connected with protesting vendors at the Klong Toei market two weeks ago, surrendered to police yesterday.

Inthorn Saenphibal, 51, met with police at the Metropolitan Police Bureau headquarters with a lawyer, and refused to give a media interview. His lawyer said later Inthorn would speak only during the trial.

The suspect, a retired Army lance corporal, has been charged with murder and attempted murder. A court will decide today whether Inthorn will be released on bail, but police are expected to oppose the request.
