Mar. 31--What has already been a good year for Brandon Knight just got a whole lot better. The junior who led Pine Crest to a second straight Class 3A championship earlier this month has been named the 2008-09 Gatorade National Boys' Basketball Player of the Year. Not only has Knight become the first student-athlete from Florida to receive the award, but he joins LeBron James and Greg Oden as the only high school juniors from boys' basketball to win it.
