TKC unit sees 30% jump in output.

TREASURE STEELWORKS CORP., A SUBsidiary of listed firm TKC Steel Corp., has commissioned a new ladle furnace in its Iligan City plant that can boost manufacturing output by 30 percent.

In a regulatory filing, TKC Steel president Anthony Dizon said the installation and commissioning of the furnace was an important part of Treasure Steelworks preparation for construction activities that would likely be spurred by the P330-billion state stimulus package this year.

He said this was also part of the groups strategy to target opportunities in other parts of the world where stimulus plans were in place.
