THE ARMED MEN WHO KIDnapped two high school students in Taguig City last week were wearing police uniforms and standing at a checkpoint when they stopped the victims sport utility van.
The vehicle of the victims was flagged down by men who posed as policemen at a checkpoint on C-5 road at around 7 in the morning [of March 19], a police source yesterday told the Inquirer.
The kidnappers, who were carrying high-powered firearms, commandeered the SUV that was found abandoned in Quezon City later that day, said the source, who requested anonymity for lack of authority to speak publicly on the matter.
