Mar. 26--HOLLYWOOD -- In one courtroom, the city has stood by a downtown developer in a case that's been dragging on for years. Now, in another courtroom, developer and city are fighting about graffiti and tall grass. Chip Abele, whose firm owns the dilapidated Great Southern Hotel downtown, has been summoned before a special magistrate today for a hearing on code violations at the historic property off Young Circle.
