Following reports of the outbreak of measles in Cameroun by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), the Federal Ministry of Health has initiated action to avert possible spread of the disease to Nigeria.
Measles outbreak was reported at Langui refugee camp, which shelters Chadian refugees. The camp is located in the North province of Cameroun which borders Adamawa and Taraba states of Nigeria.
